James Joyce wrote Dubliners at the start of the 20^th century so that Irish people could have a good hard look at themselves in his ‘nicely polished looking-glass.’

The fifteen interrelated stories reflect a society that is paralysed socially, politically and culturally resulting in a compelling exploration of the human condition.
