Spain, at the beginning of the 17th century. The noble and cultured Bernardo de Burgos takes in Pedro, a young “buscón”. He offers him a home in his palace and educates him. Unexpectedly, Bernardo is accused of treason to the king of Spain. It is up to the young Pedro, with the help of don Francisco de Quevedo, to prove his master’s innocence.
